No adverts, no selling your information, no tracking you around the internet. Here is every cookie we use, in plain words, and how to change your mind.
Change your choice
You can say yes or no to visit counting whenever you like. Saying no does not limit anything you can use or read on Taxmiser.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small note a website leaves in your browser so it can recognise your device on the next page. Some of what we use is not technically a cookie but a note kept in your own browser storage. We list both here, because what matters to you is what is stored and why, not the technical name.

We use no advertising cookies, no social media pixels, and no third party analytics such as Google Analytics or Facebook. Visit counting is our own, and it records a random code, the page name, whether you are on a phone or a computer, and which buttons get pressed. It never records your name, your email or any of your tax figures.
Your rights under the UK and EU GDPR
M3CA LTD is the data controller for Taxmiser. Wherever you live, you can ask us to do any of the following, free of charge, and we will answer within one month.
- See your information. Get a copy of everything we hold about you.
- Correct it. Have anything wrong or out of date put right.
- Delete it. Close your account and have your information erased, except anything we must keep by law, such as payment records.
- Take it with you. Download your saved plans and returns in a portable file.
- Limit what we do with it. Ask us to pause processing while a question is being sorted out.
- Object. Tell us to stop counting your visits or emailing you, at any time.
- Withdraw consent. Change your cookie choice or leave the newsletter, with no effect on your membership.
- No decisions made by machine alone. Our tools give you suggestions to consider, never automatic decisions about you.
You can do most of this yourself on your account page, including downloading your data and closing your account. For anything else, email info@m3ca.com marked "Privacy request".
Why we are allowed to hold it
- To give you what you asked for. Your account, your saved plans and your membership are needed to deliver the service you signed up to.
- Because you agreed. Visit counting and the newsletter happen only with your consent, and you can take that back at any time.
- Because the law requires it. Payment and tax records must be kept for six years.
- To keep the service safe. Security logs help us block misuse, which is in your interest as much as ours.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so we can fix it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your own EU country.
Turning cookies off in your browser
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Please note that blocking the sign-in cookies will stop you from signing in, since your account cannot stay open without them.
